Former high school art teacher turned homeschooling mom to a 6th grader and a 4 year old. I keep busy volunteering at church, teaching homeschoolers’ art classes and organizing peace.love.swap meets in my community. Our family includes a wonderful, supportive husband, a black pug, a lazy cat, a chubby hamster, grandparents that live down the street, local cousins who homeschool and our Finnish “daughter” who spends the summers with us.

After our son was born, we waited 8 years to grow our family! By then, all the “baby stuff” was long gone and we found ourselves starting over from scratch. I had forgotten how costly it is to buy all those cute clothes and accessories, books, toys, and gear for babies! Now our little girl is three, and we’re moving out of the diapers and into the dress-up clothes (can anyone say “princess?”), at the same time, we find ourselves outfitting a tween — only to see his clothes outgrown in a few months or even weeks! Then things have to be stored, given away, sold, or tossed — and new stuff bought to replace the old stuff. A cycle of lots of time, space, and money spent…
That’s why I’m excited to re-introduce peace. love. swap. (pls) to the Hampton Roads: East area of Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk and surrounding cities! Every season, you’re able to discover for yourself how a peace. love. swap. event will make life more enjoyable!

- is a pop-up boutique — only clean, gently-used items are allowed. NO JUNK!
- is large-scale — established pls swaps nationwide host 50-100+ swappers regularly
- allows you to bring an extra-large bag for you to fill to the brim + one oversized item (highchair, stroller, etc), then you unload the bag and item and get back in line to do it again until you get what you NEED
- is usually held in a family-friendly environment with activities for kids.

- has a one dollar silent auction and lots of vendor raffles
- offers fabulous SWAG BAGS for the first 50 registered swappers
- HAS ALL THIS for a low flat rate admission of $5 (online) or $7 (at the door), or FREE to volunteers
